June started off with the development of the Stop Using Me website. Stop Using me is a charity devoted to creating awareness to young adults about the dangers of drug trafficking and how it ruins the lives of young people who have been dragged onto this trade by either deception, naivety or pure need of financial rewards.
At first you think, well they got themselves into it and drugs are ruining people’s lives. You brought drugs in to the country so you should be punished and so they should, but when you start to research and learn about this problem, the person  who is serving 14 years for drug trafficking has probably never been in trouble    with the police before and usually never taken drugs. Infact most have not been involved in the illegal  drugs trade until they board the plane. The real bad guy has got away with it. He just goes out and finds another mule.
Drug dealers find and groom young people for the job. Whatever their reason for agreeing to this, the affect on the person and their family is devastating and that is why creating awareness about the dangers to young people is a worthwhile programme.
I am pleased to be involved and really enjoyed developing the website. The sites design was created to be appealing to young people and Facebook pages and MySpace pages where created.
